  • Shashi Kiran Shetty has been pioneering the Indian logistics sector since more than two decades and has helmed major transformations riding on the growth of Indian economy. A true entrepreneur, he began early, when the logistics sector was at nascent stage in 1993, by founding Allcargo Logistics which today enjoys the status of being India’s largest integrated logistics company in the private sector. Its world-class services include MTO, Contract logistics and Project Equipment, with each carving a niche of its own.
  • Spearheading 10 key global acquisitions in less than a decade, Shashi Kiran Shetty sets a brilliant example of benefiting from first movers advantage, wherein he saw the formidable strength and bright future the sector holds in India and globally.
  • He made history in 2005-06, when the acquisition of Belgium-based ECU-LINE, the world’s second largest NVOCC player, stunned the world as its revenues were almost 5 times that of Allcargo Logistics. The winning streak continued till 2013 with subsequent acquisitions of companies in key geographies like China, Europe and the U.S.
  • Through strategic expansion of service portfolio across key markets and global consolidation of mergers, backed by Mr. Shetty’s zeal to cater to domestic demands, Allcargo Logistics has grown to be a global leader in integrated logistics solutions, operating in over 160 countries with 300+ offices, housing more than 8,500 team members and minting revenues to the tune of approximately USD 1 billion, with facilities which are industry benchmarks.

  • For strengthening trade between India and Belgium through the economic initiatives of Allcargo Logistics and ECU-LINE, Mr. Shetty was conferred with the highest civilian honour – ‘Distinction of Commander of the Order of Leopold II’ by H.M. King Philippe of Belgium in 2015.
  • In recognition of his business leadership and outstanding contributions as CEO, he was awarded the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in the Services Category by Ernst & Young in 2010, in addition to several industry awards.
  • Mr. Shetty was awarded the ‘Honorary Doctorate’ by Mangalore University in 2015, for his professional achievements, as well as for his philanthropic contributions. Mr. Shetty is a staunch believer of CSR and actively leads the initiatives of Avashya Foundation, the group’s NGO wing involved in Natural Disaster Relief, Education, Healthcare, Women Empowerment, Sports and Environmental Sustainability.

Mohinder Pal Bansal

A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Mohinder Pal Bansal has more than 25 years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Strategic Advising, Capital Markets, Company Portfolio Integration as well as post-acquisition performance management in India, Asia and Europe. He has advised corporates across sectors including logistics, auto components, manufacturing, realty, banking, education and IT and also a started newspaper for children called ‘Newshouse’ in June 1996 along with the promoters of Navneet Publications.

He is currently on board of several companies such as Blacksoil Realty Investment Advisors LLP, Concorde Motors India Limited, Navneet Learning LLP and others.

Jatin Chokshi

  • Jatin Chokshi is a Chartered Accountant & Company Secretary by qualification. He has 27 years of work experience in industries like Shipping, Consumer Durables and Industrial Chemicals.
  • He joined Allcargo Logistics Ltd. Group in 2001 and worked in the capacity of Financial controller, CFO & CEO of a business vertical. He is responsible for managing portfolio, taxation matters, cost control and procurement

Kaiwan Kalyaniwalla

Kaiwan Kalyaniwalla, aged 58 years, is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Bombay High Court and a
Senior Partner in the law firm of Maneksha & Sethna in Mumbai. He has been in practice for over 35
years. Mr. Kalyaniwalla graduated from the University of Bombay in Economics and Political Science
and thereafter graduated as a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) from the Government Law College, Mumbai.
He was awarded the prize for securing the highest marks in the three-year LL.B. integrated course by
the University of Bombay.

Mr. Kalyaniwalla is enrolled as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He serves on
the board of public listed and private Indian and foreign companies and advises public and private
sector corporates, multinational banks, transport and logistics companies and some of India’s largest
property development companies and business houses. Mr. Kalyaniwalla is on the investment and
advisory committee of a SEBI registered real estate fund and NBFC and serves on the board of a SEBI
registered asset management trustee company. He is also on the Board of Trustees of public
educational and hospital trusts. His practice is predominantly in the field of corporate laws, property
laws, tax laws and general commercial and personal laws.

Mr. Kalyaniwalla has been an active member of the Managing Committee of the Bombay
Incorporated Law Society and served as its President for six years. Mr. Kalyaniwalla is a member of
the Academic Council of the Maharashtra National Law University.

Alka Misra

  • Alka Arora Misra is currently the Chief Executive Officer for the World Skill Centre. The World Skill Center (WSC) is a premier advanced skill training institute established by the Government of Odisha, Skill Development and Technical Education Department, , in collaboration with Institute of Technical Education Services (ITEES), Singapore as the knowledge partner.
  • A senior bureaucrat who worked for Indian Railways in a variety of roles in a career spanning 35 years. A postgraduate in Economics and a Gold Medalist from Allahabad University, she recently retired as Additional Member Human Resources of the Railway Board and as the Vice Chancellor of National Rail and Transport University, Vadodara- a unique institution that she had the privilege to set up from scratch.
  • She won the Railway Minister’s Award for excellence and was also selected for a Chevening Scholarship. She has significant experience and expertise in infrastructure and logistics management; Human Resource development; education and inter- ministerial affairs. Well-read and widely travelled, her passion includes institution building; skill building; community service and women participation in economic activity.

Mr. Mahendra Kumar Chouhan

Prof. Mahendra Kumar Chouhan is a distinguished thought leader and institution builder with decades of impactful leadership in corporate governance, business ethics, leadership, and sustainability. As a strategist and board advisor, he is widely recognized for his commitment to business excellence and long-term value creation, particularly in the context of sustainable development in India and the Asia region.

He brings a unique blend of experience across three sectors – Business & Industry, Academia, and International Consulting-making him a sought after expert and advisor across domains.

In the corporate sector, Prof. Chouhan has served as the Founding Chairman of Fino Payments Bank and continues to serve as an Independent Director on the boards of various listed and unlisted companies across diverse sectors, including financial services, housing and education finance, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, B2B marketplaces and exhibitions. 

In academia, he has held prestigious teaching and research roles. He served as Distinguished Professor – Executive Education at IIM Mumbai and currently teaches Business Ethics, Corporate Governance, and Sustainability at Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. He has also been visiting faculty at IIT Bombay (SJMSOM) and Tilburg University, Netherlands, and is a regular guest faculty member at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. 

In the field of international consulting, Prof. Chouhan worked for over six years with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) – World Bank Group. He currently leads Mahendra & Ardneham Consulting (P) Ltd, a specialized board advisory firm focused on embedding sustainability into corporate strategy. 

Prof. Chouhan is deeply involved in institution building and social impact initiatives. He is Chairman of Mahendra & Young Knowledge Foundation, Vice Chairman of Global Advisory Board at the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability, and elected Vice President of the IMC Chamber of Commerce & Industry for F.Y.2025–26. He is also a former President of the Bombay Management Association.

On the global stage, he serves as a member of the Global Council and Integrated Reporting & Connectivity Council (IFRS Foundation), the Council for Inclusive Capitalism (USA), and the Global Board of the International Institute of Governance and Leadership (Amsterdam).

He has contributed to national regulatory frameworks as a member of the SEBI Committee on Corporate Governance and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs Committee for the National Policy on Corporate Governance.

Prof. Chouhan holds a degree in science and an MBA with a specialization in finance. He is certified by the Global Corporate Governance Forum (IFC – World Bank Group) as a board trainer and has completed an executive program on corporate governance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. An accomplished public speaker and frequent contributor at international forums.

Nishika Hegde

Ms. Nishika Hegde holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University, USA, with a focus on Marketing and Human Resource Management and a Master’s degree in Marketing from University of Bath, UK. Over the years, she has been fortunate to gain diverse experience across public relations, human resources, advertising and strategic marketing. At Allcargo Group, she has been closely involved in sales and marketing initiatives, which have helped her develop a deep understanding of customer behaviour, brand positioning and business growth across various industries. Beyond work, she enjoys supporting initiatives that combine creativity with purpose. Her key interest lies in developing strategies and fostering collaborations that create a lasting impact on building brands and growing businesses that make a meaningful difference.

Ram Walase

Whole Time Director and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Ram Walase, our CEO at Transindia Real Estate Limited, has an extensive experience of 24 years in infrastructure, real estate, project finance and consulting. Mr. Walase brings forth a leadership experience of 14 years at VBHC Value Homes Ltd, IL&FS, CRISIL Advisory and A F Ferguson. Over the years, he has been involved in conceptualising and delivering large scale projects such as greenfield cities, townships, sports infrastructure, commercial real estate, affordable housing and premium housing projects. In his consulting and financing roles, Mr Walase has been involved in conceptualising, privatising and financing projects in sectors such as seaports, airports, container terminals, bulk terminals and SEZs.
